What a pressure cleaner service actually involves
Pressure cleaners cop a hammering. Pumps, hoses, fittings, engines, motors, all working under high pressure for hours at a time. Most jobs that come in are one of these:
Pump service & repair
The pump is the heart of the unit. We strip it, check for wear, replace what needs replacing, and pressure test before it leaves the bench.
Loss of pressure
If your cleaner is pulsing, surging, or just not building pressure like it used to, we'll find the cause and sort it.
Leaks & drips
Water leaking from the pump, the gun, the hose connections, or the lance. Usually a worn seal or fitting. Quick fix once we've got it on the bench.
Routine servicing
Pressure cleaners need regular maintenance to keep running properly. Most people skip it. We'll bring yours back up to spec.
Hose, lance & gun repair
The bits you handle take the most punishment. Leaking guns, damaged lances, split hoses. Genuine replacements where needed.
Engine & motor service
Petrol engine won't start? Electric motor cutting out? We service the engine end, not just the pump.
A note for Beeliar pressure cleaner owners
Beeliar is a mix of established residential, beachfront blocks, and trades running out of home workshops. Plenty of cleaners and detailers along the coast, plus the usual run of homeowners with their once-a-month patio blast.
Salt air is the recurring issue down here. The brass fittings on most pressure cleaners corrode from the outside in if you don't rinse the unit with fresh water after a coastal job. We see Beeliar pumps with seized swivel fittings and locked-up trigger guns more than anywhere else in the south.
Brands we service
Karcher · Gerni · Stihl · Bar · Honda · Generac · Bosch · Ryobi · AR Blue Clean
If it's a pressure cleaner and it's broken, we can have a look. Petrol or electric, residential or commercial, doesn't matter where you bought it.
Where you put it down matters
A pressure cleaner sitting on uneven ground vibrates harder, runs hotter, and wears out faster. Most people just plonk it down anywhere.
Pressure cleaners produce a fair bit of vibration during operation. The pump is moving water through tight passages at high pressure, the engine or motor is running, and the whole frame is taking the kickback from the trigger gun.
If the unit is sitting on a stable, level surface, the vibration is dampened by the surface and the unit's own rubber feet. If the unit is sitting on rough ground, on a slope, or on something soft like grass that compresses unevenly, the vibration becomes worse and the unit walks around as it runs.
Problems caused by poor placement:
- Bolts vibrate loose over time. Engine mounts, frame bolts, even hose connections. Unit on a level concrete surface stays bolted together. Unit on rough gravel slowly shakes itself apart.
- Unit walks during use. Gradually moves away from where you set it. Over a long job this can put strain on the high-pressure hose at fittings.
- Tipping risk. A unit on uneven ground can tip over during operation, which is dangerous and damages the unit.
- Engine oil sloshes. Petrol units running on a slope can cause oil to pool to one side, leading to incorrect lubrication.
- Water doesn't drain. Drips from the unit pool around it instead of running off, which keeps the bottom of the unit wet and accelerates rust.
Where to place it during a job:
- Concrete or paved surface, level.
- In shade if possible (UV protection).
- On the ground, not on a wall or bench (stable footprint).
- Within easy reach of the water tap.
- Where you can see the water inlet hose isn't kinked.
- Not in a puddle or area where water collects.
Also worth knowing: don't run a petrol unit indoors or in a closed garage. Carbon monoxide is no joke. Always operate petrol units in fresh air with good ventilation.
Sounds like common sense but we see plenty of cracked frames and loosened bolts that started with poor placement habits.

Common questions
Do you pick up from Beeliar?
Yep. Pickup and delivery available across Beeliar. We've been running services through this part of Perth for years.
How much does a pressure cleaner repair cost?
Depends on what's wrong and what brand you've got. Once we've stripped it on the bench, we ring you with a fixed price before doing any work. No hourly charging, no surprises.
My pressure cleaner won't build pressure. Worth fixing?
Almost always yes. Most "no pressure" jobs are unloader valves, worn pump seals, or blocked nozzles. None of those are expensive fixes on a decent unit. We'll have a look and tell you straight if it's not worth it.
How often should I service my pressure cleaner?
Annual oil change at minimum on the pump end. Tradies running them daily should service the pump every 6 months. Most homeowners never service theirs, which is why pumps fail at 5 years instead of 15.
Do you service electric pressure cleaners and commercial units?
Both. Karcher K-series and Bosch electrics, all the way up to Gerni and Stihl commercial petrol units. The pump end is similar across most of them, just different sizes and pressures.
How long does a repair take?
Usually back to you within a week. If parts have to come in (some of the European brands), we'll let you know.
How do I book?
Easiest is the online booking on this page. Pick a slot, leave your address, done. Or ring us on (08) 9444 1284.
