Roller blinds (vinyl or fabric): 1,000 to 1,200 PSI maximum. Higher pressure tears fabric.
Cafe blinds (plastic): 1,200 to 1,500 PSI. Watch for cracking, especially on older blinds.
Shade sails: 1,000 to 1,200 PSI. Soft fabric, easily damaged.
Awning frames (aluminium): 1,500 to 2,000 PSI. Frame is robust.
Shutter mechanisms: low pressure, 1,000 PSI. Avoid spraying directly into mechanisms.
For all outdoor fabric items:
Take down if possible. Easier to clean off the structure.
Use mild detergent rather than aggressive cleaners.
Rinse thoroughly. Detergent residue attracts dirt.
Air dry fully before re-rolling or re-installing.
If fabric is showing significant UV damage (chalky, faded, cracking), replacement is cheaper than restoration. Don't waste cleaning time on fabric near end of life.

My pressure cleaner won't build pressure. Worth fixing?
Almost always yes. Most "no pressure" jobs are unloader valves, worn pump seals, or blocked nozzles. None of those are expensive fixes on a decent unit. We'll have a look and tell you straight if it's not worth it.
How often should I service my pressure cleaner?
Annual oil change at minimum on the pump end. Tradies running them daily should service the pump every 6 months. Most homeowners never service theirs, which is why pumps fail at 5 years instead of 15.
Do you service electric pressure cleaners and commercial units?
Both. Karcher K-series and Bosch electrics, all the way up to Gerni and Stihl commercial petrol units. The pump end is similar across most of them, just different sizes and pressures.
